Tunnel Hill, Ga.

September 8-10

 

        The battle started at 2:00 p.m. with the artillery firing.  Then came the infantry and Cavalry.  There was absolutely no pause in the firing for forty-five minutes.  This was, by far, the best battle yet.

 

Formed up with 35th Tennessee Inf. and the 28th Alabama Inf.
